Sold, the world is divided into two kinds of people: those who buy a newspaper and read it, and those who just look at the pictures. Seems pretty obvious which camp you fall into.

Thanks for that Deano - appreciate the effort and feeling that went into it. Ignore the illiterate morons that think it's a bit long.
A bit harsh on the owners but agree with most of what you're saying.
However, I don't have any family background in West Ham and don't give a fuck about yours. Should I?

The OP started off well but I stopped reading when the insults veered off into personal ones. There's no need for that in an otherwise objective looking piece.
I've only traced my family tree back to the 1680's and know for certain that my West Ham lineage goes back to Thames Ironworks FC, including at least one family member known to have played for them, but that doesn't entitle me to throw personal insults at the current incumbents.
I cannot criticise their support of the manager, but will say that I think they are misguided and should throw that support behind a better one to take the club forward.
Players like Vaz Te, Nolan, Carroll, Reid, etc. cannot be blamed for milking a system and culture that's there to be milked. That's human nature and, sadly, that's modern football.
Good enough is the enemy of excellence. Our current manger only ever strives to be good enough.
A different manager, with these players and this level of backing, could really acheive something. The only mistake our owners are making is failing to make that necessary change soon enough.
Everything else they're doing is moving the club forward in the modern era and will, in time, enable West Ham United to compete to a higher standard.
There are very few good managers with PL experience available. A year ago, were one to become available, they would have looked at our squad and said 'I can't do anythinig with that, I'm not going to risk it'. That is not the case now and when they do (and I truely believe they will) drop the axe on BFS, we will be in a far stronger position to attract a manager of the right calibre to take us forward.
Whoever it is will be popular with some fans and unpopular with others, that's normal. The same is true of the owners, the stadium move, the badge change, etc.If everyone agreed there would be no need for forums.
All that matters is that ultimately West Ham United grows, gets stronger, and thrives at the top level.
We are on the cusp as a club, we all just hope it goes the right way.

The main point I am making about Song is that he is not the type of signing I would get excited over in the same instance as Tevez.

Not sure you could call Song a flop at Barca. He was essentially bought as a back up for the 3 Spanish internationals they had and did not play that much.
You could argue that Fabregas was a bit of a flop in that instance.
Anyway being a flop at one of the biggest clubs in the World does not mean they are a bad player.

Song is a good signing but I wouldn't get too excited about him.
He has a lot to prove which could be a positive for us. However he can be quite arrogant and caused problems in the arsenal dressing room and he was essentially a flop at Barca.

Of course he will. I am actually waiting for allardyce to bring up Nolans injury as a reason why we have been shit this week.

One thing about song is that he won't play as he has some real quality and allardyce doesn't like that.
